Triple Trend puts three lines under price in an uptrend on MT4 and MT5, and every signal it gives you is numbered by which line the pullback reached.
A 1 means price barely dipped. A 3 means it fell all the way to the trailing stop and closed back above it. Same tool, same trend, very different bars.

Three lines from one trend
The base line is a trailing stop built from a moving average and a distance of ATR times Bands Distance. The moving average is your choice of SMA, EMA or WMA, 70 periods by default, which puts this firmly in swing rather than scalp territory.
Above that base line, in an uptrend, sit two more:
| Line | Where | What reaching it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Base + 3 ร ATR | A shallow dip |
| 2 | Base + 1.5 ร ATR | A normal pullback |
| 3 | The trailing stop itself | Price came all the way back |
In a downtrend they're mirrored above price. The lines only exist on the side the trend says matters; the opposite three are blank, so an uptrend chart never shows resistance lines you'd have to mentally filter out.
The signal is a wick-and-close
A numbered mark appears when a bar's low goes below a line and its close comes back above it. Price reached that depth and didn't stay.
That test is the same at all three levels, which is what makes the numbers comparable. The only thing that varies is how far down price had to go.
Practically: 1 marks are frequent and shallow, 3 marks are rare and are the bar where the trend nearly ended and didn't. Which of those you want is a decision the tool leaves to you and, importantly, it shows you both.
Signal Type decides how many marks you get
Signal Type is the input people miss.
Set to 1, 2 or 3, you get at most one mark per bar and it's the shallowest qualifying level. A bar that pierced all three lines shows a single number.
Set to all, every level that qualified gets its own mark on the same bar, so a deep pullback can carry 1, 2 and 3 stacked together. That's noisier and it's the honest picture of what happened.
The default is 1. If your chart looks quiet compared to the screenshots, this is why.
What it publishes
Six plotted buffers: all three lines in each direction, with zero as the empty value on the inactive side. iCustom gets you every level and, by which side is populated, the trend state.
That makes this one of the more EA-friendly tools in the range: the three levels are exactly the numbers you'd want for scaling into a position.
Where it's weak
Seventy periods is slow, and the trend state comes only from the trailing stop. There's no structure test and no confirmation count. When the stop flips, the trend flips.
The ATR spacing is applied to a trailing stop that already contains ATR. Bands Distance at 3 sets the stop's own distance, and then the extra lines sit at fixed 1.5 and 3 ATR from it. Change the distance and the relationship between the three lines changes in a way that isn't obvious from the settings.
The lines are not levels. They move every bar with the average. A 3 mark tells you price reached the trailing stop on that bar, not that a fixed price was tested.
No score, no history. Marks are drawn; nothing counts how they resolved.
Alerts are off by default. Notification type ships as Do not notificate, and the Telegram fields carry placeholders. The alert text names the level, so Buy signal 3 tells you the depth without opening the chart.
Everything is computed to the previous bar. The newest mark appears at bar close.
Questions you'll have
Does Triple Trend repaint? The three lines are derived from a moving average, so the forming bar's values move as any average does. Marks are placed on closed bars and stay there.
What do the numbers 1, 2 and 3 mean? How deep the pullback went. 1 is the outermost line, three ATR from the trailing stop. 3 is the trailing stop itself.
Why do I only ever see one number per bar? Signal Type defaults to 1, which gives at most one mark. Set it to all to see every level a bar reached.
Why is one side of the chart blank? Only the lines matching the current trend direction are plotted. In an uptrend you get the three support lines and nothing above.
Which number should I trade? That's yours to decide, and it's the reason the tool numbers them rather than choosing for you. Shallow marks are frequent, deep ones are rare and closer to invalidation.
Can an EA read the levels? Yes. All six lines are plotted buffers, so iCustom gets every level and the trend state.
Best timeframe? H1 and H4 at the 70-period default. On M15 lower Length or the lines sit a long way from price.
MT4? Both platforms are included, one download each. Same three lines, same numbering, same six buffers.
